Maintenance products for pre-oiled floor

 
All our products are based on natural oils and resins and enhance the natural beauty and warmth of the wood, making living more comfortable. That’s why Ditton Wood offers specific products for sealed wood floors, intended for professional and domestic use, to meet any possible requirement regarding cleaning and maintenance.

Advices
 
Once the installation process is completed, we strongly recommend a complete cleaning with a well-wrung damp mop using water 1 or 2 times then use Domestic cleaner spray detergent for pre-oiled floors. Domestic cleaner spray is a detergent and protective especially developed for the normal leaning and maintenance.

Domestic cleaner spray is specially formulated to complete the protection of your floor, provide a better sheen, and increase its impermeability. This is the only product that can be used to maintain floors pre-finished with the Concentrated commercial cleaner.

Domestic maintenance
 
Residential cleaner concentrated : Mixture of soaps and emulsified natural waxes for pre-oiled floor (clean, protect and sheen). The recommended dilution is 1 part of Domestic cleaner for 10 parts of water.

Recommendations: If you notice accumulation of wax or marks on your floor, wash your floor for a few weeks with water or apply less cleaner on your floor.
 
Residential cleaner spray: Ready-to-use mixture of soaps and emulsified natural waxes. Residential cleaner spray can be used to obtain more protection and sheen.
 

  • Spray the Residential cleaner for pre- oiled floors on a small section of the floor. Rinse the cloth every now and then in clear water to remove dirt (do not rinse the floor with too much water).

  • Spread the Residential cleaner spray evenly and rub until penetration.

  • Always move the applicator lengthwise in the same direction. Repeat until the whole surface has been done. Allow to dry before exposing floor to light traffic.

  • Note: The regular use of our products will preserve the oil finish and extend the duration.

Commercial maintenance

On a regular basis, use a vacuum to remove dust and grit. The use of a well-wrung damp mop over the entire floor will be sufficient to clean the floor. Use our Commercial cleaner concentrated once or twice a week (1 cup per water liter).
 
The frequency of use of the Commercial cleaner concentrated is difficult to determine, since it depends on the wear to which the floor is subjected. If the floor tends to get sticky, reduce use of the Commercial cleaner concentrated (if it does occure, this is not a critical problem).
